Submissions for Oevaru 2026 are now open.
We invite clinicians, researchers, practitioners, students, creators, and community members to join us in shaping the national conversation on mental health.

Choose the stream that best reflects your contribution. Whether you are sharing evidence-based insights or creative innovations that connect people and ideas

By submitting, authors confirm that the idea is their own and that they have the rights to propose it.
Please ensure the submission is original, concise, and aligned with the guidelines above

Oevaru Salla Stream

Celebrating creativity, lived experience, and applied innovation. This stream invites community projects, awareness campaigns, digital tools, or artistic works that can advance mental well being in the Maldivian community.

  • Written narrative (≤ 250 words)
  • Short video presentation (2 – 5 minutes)

Scientific Stream

Welcoming research abstracts and practice-based papers that build evidence and dialogue in mental health, aligned with the Oevaru 2026 theme
“Delving Deep ~ Weaving Connections.”

Submissions may include original research, program evaluations, case studies, or practice-based innovations that contribute to strengthening mental-health systems.

Participants are invited to submit:

  • Structured abstract (≤ 300 words)
  • Poster or oral presentation option

    Your abstract should be a PDF or Word document less than 1MB. Your abstract must follow the template provided, briefly explain the salient points of your paper and should not be longer than 500 words.

    Submit SALLA proposals:

    Please consult the Guidelines and Template before submission.

      Your video should be a video link uploaded to Youtube, GoogleDrive, OneDrive, Icloud or Dropbox no longer than 5 mins.

      Your abstract should be a PDF or Word document less than 1MB. Your abstract must follow the template provided, briefly explain the salient points of your paper and should not be longer than 500 words.
