In My Mind - A Photographic Expression of our Beautiful Mind

Theme

On 2nd October 2019 we carried out our first art exhibition ‘In My Mind’ at Art Gallery in collaboration with well-wishing partners. This exhibition aimed to increase awareness on mental health issues and eliminate public stigma regarding mental health through artistic expressions of showing the beauty of minds.

This year in celebration of our first ever Mental Health Conference #Oevaru2023, we want to continue artistic expression of mental health and wellbeing, ‘In My Mind’ Photographic Expression. We are announcing this photo submission from September 7th to 7th October 2023. Join us by expressing what mental health means to you! Whether it is spending quality time with your family and friends, pets or being out in nature; rearranging your home; listening to music, show us how you what mental health means to you!

The goal of the campaign is to send a message of hope and encourage people to engage in positive ways to support their mental well-being. Following are some examples of what you can use.

  • This is what I do to care for myself.
  • This is how I connect with others.
  • This is an activity I do to create a healthy routine.
  • This is how I stay positive and incorporate humour.
  • These are the places where I feel like I belong.
  • This is an activity that makes me feel.
  • This is something that inspires me.
  • This is something that gives me hope.
  • This is how I express myself creatively.
  • This is my reason for living.
