Refund and Cancellation Policy - Oevaru Conference 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all registrations for the Oevaru Conference 2026 organized by the National Centre for Mental Health (NCMH), Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), Maldives.

1. Refund Policy

Registration fees are non-refundable once payment is made.
Exceptional requests may be reviewed upon written submission, at the discretion of the organisers.
In the event of cancellation or significant programme changes, available options will be communicated.

2. Cancellation Process

If refunds are available per the policy above, to request a cancellation and refund:

  1. Email your cancellation request to: oevaru.cep@gmail.com
  2. Include the following information:
    • Your full name (as registered)
    • Order/Transaction number
    • Email address used for registration
    • Reason for cancellation (optional but helpful)
  3. You will receive confirmation of receipt within 7 business days
  4. If approved, refunds will be processed within 14 business days to the original payment method

Important: Refunds are processed to the same payment card used for the original transaction. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement after processing.

3. Registration Transfers

You may transfer your registration to another person if you cannot attend. Transfer requests must be submitted by May 2nd 2026

Transfer Process:

  1. Email registrar@oevaruconference.mv with:
    • Your original registration details
    • Full name and contact information of the new attendee
    • Any special requirements (e.g., NCMH staff status, workshop preferences)
  2. Transfer fee: FREE
  3. Transfers must be completed at least 14 days before the conference

4. Conference Postponement or Cancellation

In the event that the Oevaru Conference 2026 is postponed or cancelled by the organizers:

If Postponed:

  • Your registration will automatically transfer to the new date
  • If you cannot attend the new date a full refund will be available

If Cancelled:

  • Full refund provided
  • Refunds will be processed within 14 days of the cancellation announcement

5. Force Majeure

The organizers are not liable for refunds if the conference is affected by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Pandemic or public health emergencies
  • Government restrictions or travel bans
  • Terrorism or civil unrest
  • Venue unavailability

In such cases,  registrations will transfer to rescheduled date

6. Changes to Conference Program

The organizers reserve the right to make changes to:

  • Conference schedule and program
  • Speakers and presenters
  • Workshop content or facilitators
  • Venue or format (in-person/virtual)

Such changes do not entitle attendees to refunds unless the conference is substantially altered from what was advertised, as determined solely by the organizers.

7. No-Shows

If you do not attend the conference after registering, you are not entitled to a refund. Please cancel in advance if you cannot attend to potentially benefit from any applicable refund policy.

8. Payment Disputes

If you have a payment-related issue or dispute:

  1. Contact us first at oevaru.cep@gmail.com or +960 7573635
  2. Provide your transaction/order number and details of the issue
  3. We will work with you to resolve the issue within 10 business days

Please do not initiate a chargeback with your bank before contacting us, as this may delay resolution and affect your registration status.

9. Delivery Policy

For the Oevaru Conference 2026:

In-Person Conference:

  • Your registration confirmation serves as your ticket
  • Check-in will be available at the venue on 16th May 2026
  • Conference materials, if any, will be provided at check-in or electronically

Conference Materials:

Digital program book, presentation slides, certificates, conference branded merchandise.
